The jump condition in Mautic is a fantastic feature for building complex customer journeys. However, many users have encountered a frustrating issue in earlier versions (up to 2.16.3) that renders this feature ineffective. While it’s unclear whether the bug has been resolved in version 3.x, there’s an easy workaround to keep your campaigns functioning as intended.
The Problem:
When a jump condition is placed directly after a decision step in a campaign, it fails to execute. This issue interrupts the flow and prevents the intended action from taking place.
The Solution:
To ensure the jump condition works, you can add an intermediary action step between the decision and the jump condition. Here’s how:
1. Insert an action, such as “Update Tag,” immediately after the decision step. For example, you can update the contact’s tag to reflect their progression in the campaign.
2. Place the jump condition right after this action step.
This additional action ensures the campaign logic flows correctly, allowing the jump condition to trigger as expected.
By using this workaround, you can take full advantage of Mautic’s powerful campaign tools and deliver seamless customer journeys, even when hosting with Mailertizer.
